Adaptive Power Efficiency for Chromatic Dispersion Compensation

We digitally compensate chromatic dispersion effects in coherent WDM transmission with minimal number of operations according to each lightpath requirement, and then convert it into energy savings through DSP power scaling. We show that energy savings up to 77% (resp. 57%) in the compensation stage are achievable in core networks with 100 Gb/s (resp. 200 Gb/s) transponders
