Add&Drop architectures for multi-carrier transponders in EONs

This paper investigates how different add/drop architectures in the wavelength routing optical cross-connects influence the benefit of elastic spectral efficiency, in scenario of long haul meshed WDM network, looking for a trade-off between costs and performance. It is an extended version of 2 studies reported in 2 papers of the conference ECOC'2015.
