Affective Computing Applied to Videoconferencing

SlideWorld has introduced immersion in videoconferencing using static heuristics. Affective computing will allow dynamic and more efficient immersion thanks to user observation, context awareness, emotions understanding… Based on this trend, we developed a videoconferencing demonstrator featuring dynamically orchestrated video streams to maximize users' immersion, based on various measurements (events, attention…) and advances HMM-based reasoning technologies.
