Air Throughput: Dare to Compare

Historically, maximum air throughput was governed by the physical and mathematical laws put forth by scientists such as Harry Nyquist and Claude Shannon. Now, intelligent header compression technology is breaking the laws of science to push more bits per second into the air. This article explains how air throughput is calculated in the context of Nyquist's and Shannon's work. It also highlights the throughput increases that intelligent header compression enables and explains why header compression is key for LTE.
