A novel method to re-construct and modulate the optical phase of OTDM generated data pulses allows for phase-coding at ultra-high-speeds. This transmitter enables the analysis of nonlinear transmission properties of 160-Gb/s CSRZ and pair-wise alternating phase CSRZ signals.
