An Adaptive AC Input Monitoring Algorithm for Microprocessor Controlled Parallel Processing UPSs

This paper describes an algorithm for a microprocessor controlled UPS that dynamically modifies the ac input line switch operating thresholds based on the UPS output load current. This insures that the battery energy is preserved for the times when the UPS really needs the inverter-battery source to power the load.
