An Approach to Ada Compiler Acceptance Testing

This paper describes an ongoing acceptance testing approach being used at AT&T Bell Laboratories and AT&T Technologies to evaluate a port of the Verdix Ada Development System (VADS) to the AT&T 3B family of computers. The approach has been designed to exercise the compiler in as realistic a setting as possible from several different points of view. It is shown that the evaluation provides several other important benefits as well.
