An Empirical Model for Simulating the System-Level Radiated Emissions Behavior of Interconnected Units and Modules
09 August 2004
This paper presents an empirical model, which simulates the Radiated Emissions behavior of systems by incorporating Unit and Shelf level test data gathered from independent tests performed at different times. Using a 3D EM Field Simulation Software package, the model uses the same test data to simulate slightly different configurations. When assessing the impact of minor hardware change(s) on the Radiated Emissions behavior of the system, the model can be used to reduce or eliminate the number of repeated system-level tests.
