An Expert System for Diagnosing and Maintaining the AT&T 3B4000 Computer: A Case Study
This paper presents a case study for an automated expert diagnostic and recovery system. It includes a study of the application domain and a high-level design description of the proposed expert system architecture. The expert system is capable of intercepting on- line and off-line messages generated on AT&T's 3B4000 Computer. Captured messages are then used by the expert system to define recovery actions that may be automatically or manually executed.
