Analysis and Evaluation of Graded-Index Fiber-Lenses

We report on the coupling efficiency between single mode fibers which have graded-index multimode fiber-lenses fused to their ends. A theoretical/experimental comparison of the effects of transverse and axial misalignments is presented.
