Analytic Pattern Matching: From DNA to Twitter

Pattern Matching plays a central role in DNA analysis and text correlation detection. This book presents a survey on technical tools that are used to perform and predict performance of pattern matching on random strings. Methods are based on analytic combinatorics, generating functions and asymptotic analysis.
