Angular Dispersion of Fuchs-Kliewer Modes in GaAs(100) by Digital HREELS
High Resolution Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy (HREELS) has been used to study Fermi-level pinning and surface phonon-plasmon properties of GaAs(100). The angular dispersion (energy loss vs electron beam incidence angle) of surface optical phonons (Fuchs-Kliewer modes) in GaAs(100) has been determined with a resolution at room temperature of 10 meV.
