Annual And Seasonal Variability In The Occurrence Of Multipath Fading
01 January 1986
The average amount of multipath fading, and the microwave radio transmission outage it causes, varies from month to month and from year to year. New models developed at AT&T Bell Laboratories permit these variations to be predicted by relating multipath fading to observable meteorological variables. In this paper we show how multipath fading variability is partitioned between annual variability arising from meteorological variations and natural statistical variability.
