Anomalous Angular Dependence of the Magnetoresistance of (TMTSF) sub 2 C10 sub4

New Image

We report studies of the angular dependence of the magnetoresistance of the Bechgaard salt (TMTSF) sub 2 ClO sub 4 at T=0.3K and magnetic fields to 10.8 T for both the metallic state and the magnetic field induced spin density wave (FISDW) states. The metallic state exhibits power law dependence on magnetic field whose exponent decreases as the field is tilted from the a-c plane. We also reveal an unexpected strengthening of the transitions between FISDW states as the magnetic field is tilted.
