ACCUNET(R) Packet Service is a Packet Switched Public Data Network service provided by AT&T at 99 service points in the United States. Subscriber interfaces conform to the Consultative Committee for International Telephone and Telegraph (CCITT) 1980 Recommendation X.25. Gradual phase-in of subscriber interfaces conforming to CCITT 1984 Recommendation X.25 is currently in progress. The capabilities of the 1984 X.25 subscriber interfaces support the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Network Services as defined in CCITT Recommendation X.213. The basic service provides switched virtual calls and permanent virtual circuits between X.25 subscriber interfaces.
