Automated alignment between transmitted channel and filter cascade to minimize filter penalties

With higher baudrates and progression of coherent in metro networks, optical links are increasingly subject to capacity-limiting filter penalties from routing nodes. We propose a new and cost-efficient method experimentally demonstrating up to 3dB-reduction in filter margins.
