Bit Error Rate Field Test Results for Digital TDMA

This paper describes the preliminary results of the bit error rate measurements on a 30 kHz digital channel using Four Level DPSK modulation (pi/4-shift QPSK). These measurements were performed on a raw channel against a known noise floor, a co-channel and adjacent channel interferers. Data was collected in a suburban environment at various speeds using a 100 foot tower at the cell site location. The test results show agreement between theoretical, rf fader and actual results.
