Bit-Level Switching in Fiber Parametric Processor with Inherent Wavelength Conversion and Optical Conjugation

Multiple-band switching using a two-pump fiber parametric device is demonstrated. The switching architecture combines band amplification, wavelength conversion and selective signal conjugation, enabled by temporal control of one or both parametric pumps. Bit-level optical switching is demonstrated over bandwidth greater than 50 mm, with a maximal conversion efficiency of 30 dB.
