Body as a Network Node

The human body will be the main actor in the ICT systems, by playing an active role as node of the network, as well as part of the user terminal. Body as a Node (ByN) is the future of ICT networks (engineering pov). On the other hand "intrusion" with technological ICT devices in the body will provide to the body itself a great opportunity for the early monitoring and the daily cure of critical pathologies (medical pov). The entry point of this approach is, in authors' opinion, the Oral Cavity (OC). The ByN approach can be specialized to the Oral Cavity: challenging future perspectives are driven by this visionary research approach.
