Circuit Techniques for High Performance Microprocessors (NOT PUBLISHED)

In this paper several circuit techniques are described that were used to greatly improve the performance of the WE(R)32200 microprocessor. The combined effects of tight clock skew, modifying the bus transfer scheme, splitting parasitic loading in the PLA and tailoring the dynamic-static circuit interface significantly improved the performance of the CPU.
