Comment on 'Quasicrystals: A new class of ordered structures'.
01 January 1985
This is a comment about a recent paper by Levine & Steinhardt concerning "Quasicrystals". We first point out some peculiarities of Quasicrystal-growth that lead one to believe that real Quasicrystal would always be disordered. (In a configurational sense). Remarkably, however, such disorder leads the icosahedral point diffraction pattern intact and only modifies the behavior of the intensities.
