Commercial Shells

There are a number of practical tools available in the commercial market today for building knowledge based expert systems. The knowledge engineer that is faced with the problem of choosing a commercial tool can select from a wide range of products. This document will review the current state of commercial expert system building products by describing the various features and capabilities that are available in commercial systems today. This paper will appear as a chapter in a book on practical knowledge engineering.
