Communication in a Resilient Procedure Environment

Distributed systems have been studied intensely for many years. It is generally agreed that they have the capability to achieve better reliability and performance compared to single host systems due to their many resources. An essential part in all distributed systems is a means of communication between processes. This thesis describes a communication mechanism for the Resilient Procedure (RP) which is a novel approach to achieving a highly available computer system.
