Compact 2x2 wavelength-selective cross connect that controls 128 50-GHz-spaced channels in sets of 8

We present an efficient 2x2 wavelength selective cross connect design that is serviceable without interrupting traffic. Furthermore, it can handle over a hundred densely spaced channels in a compact fashion by operating on them in sets. The 50-GHz-spaced passbands are flat topped, and there are no gaps between them.
