Comparisons on PMD-Compensation Feedback Signals for Bit-to- Bit Alternate-Polarization RZ-DPSK

PMD compensation for 40Gb/s Apol RZ-DPSK is successfully demonstrated using different feedback methods. Eye-opening feedback exhibits the lowest penalty. Experiments indicate a mean PMD tolerance of 5.3 ps for an outage probability of 10-5.
