Revolutionizing our HR processes for success with cloud-based NokiaME
‘Your work – but simpler’ is our tagline for the digitalization of Nokia's HR landscape, and 6 December 2023 marked a major step in that direction. Nokia launched NokiaME, an integrated global Human Capital Management (HCM) solution representing a significant step towards a new era of digital HR at Nokia. NokiaME delivers a true digital transformation, spanning almost all HR functions and positively impacting over 80,000 employees across more than 115 countries.
As part of our work on the Nokia People Strategy, we gathered input from employees across the company and the message we received was loud and clear: please simplify the way we work and the tools we use. This has become one of the guiding ambitions of our People Strategy, helping us to shape important decisions we have made about digitalizing and harmonizing our HR processes.
In today's world, we all expect our workplace experience to be as intuitive, contextual and personalized as the experiences we have in our private lives. Our aim with NokiaME is to create a seamless and intuitive experience that positively serves people at every step of their employment lifecycle. That starts well before an individual even applies for a position with us and continues into their individual learning journey as they grow skills and competencies and across key life changes such as having a child or moving to a new job or getting a promotion.
Simplicity is a key part of the new NokiaME experience. To start living our tagline ‘Your work – but simpler’, we will be combining the functions of 14 HR apps and redesigning 115 HR processes into one single HCM tool. This will significantly reduce the fragmentation of our HR application landscape and remove process complexity that has sometimes held us back.
As a cloud-based solution, NokiaME enables us to evolve with our company's needs, allowing us to make changes to our HR process flows at speed. It also reduces the need for manual data entry and the risk of errors for HR teams, managers and employees. By digitalizing and standardizing HR processes, we aim to provide a consistent, world-class approach to people management. Integrated HCM tool allows us to harness data-driven insights to ongoing improve.
