Itron and Nokia discuss the challenges and opportunities utilities are facing
Evolving AMI for integrated grid management using private LTE, which enhances AMI and integrates various applications with a primary focus to ensure grid's stability, effective demand-side management, and peak reduction
“I think a big reason for Itron to collaborate is because our collective customers are really seeing at this point. They have always desired to have private communication solutions that they them self-control where they know that I'm the one and only and most important tenant on this network. Especially speaking from the itron perspective watching the evolution of 3gpp standards such that machine to machine capabilities have now become a real focus of 3gpp and I know that Nokia is a big part of that evolution happening and thankfully you guys have a long history of working with the utilities, so I know you're bringing that awareness of utility needs to the industry and helping those standards evolve”
