NTT DOCOMO, INC. has strengthened the carrier's nationwide transport network and enabled transport network slicing as it rolls out new 5G mobile services.  In this presentation, we will explain NTT DOCOMO's transport network innovations (segment routing (SR) technology, SDN controller introduction) to realize NW slicing, and we will also introduce Nokia’s Router/NSP usecase in the NTT DOCOMO’s IP core backbone.

Discover how to achieve a set of service-level objectives across a multi-domain network by using the SR OS segment routing toolkit. This is referred to as intent-based, or sometimes color-aware, networking. Learn about the various mechanisms available to map each flow to its corresponding intent and how that intent is signaled and enforced within and across the domains at both the service and transport layers. Segment Routing MPLS (SR-MPLS) plays a key role in this application.
