Hotel Reservations

Hotel requests can be made during the online event registration. 

All registrants who have requested accommodation as part of their registration will receive a detailed hotel reservation confirmation email from our delegate registration partner, Conference Contacts. 

All reservations for guests without credit cards, with invalid credit cards or incorrect credit card details will not be confirmed by the Hotel.

The standard check-in time is from 14:00 PM on your day of arrival and the hotel’s check-out time is 12:00 PM on your day of departure. Additional charges will apply should you require early arrival or late check-out.

Reservations can be cancelled without penalty up to 72 hours (3 days) prior to your selected arrival date. If you cancel your reservation after that date and your room cannot be resold, the hotel reserves the right to charge for the duration of your intended stay as cancellation fees. This also comes into effect in case of early departure or no-show.

Whether you arrive by plane or car, the Madrid Marriott Auditorium hotel is easily accessible.

Arriving by Plane

Delegates will land at Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport (MAD), which is approximately 6km from the Marriott Auditorium Hotel. 

Taxis are readily available in front of the terminal at the airport. The average cost for a taxi from the airport to the Hotel will be approximately €30.00, and depending on the time of day you arrive, the average travel time will be approximately 15 minutes depending on traffic.

Arriving by Car

For delegates travelling by car, follow Avenue de la Hispanidad direction to M-40/N-II Madrid. Take the exit number 1 and continue to Avenida de Aragon Service Road. The Hotel is approx. 2km from this point.

Parking

Onsite parking is available at the hotel. Parking charges are €3.00 per hour or €21.00 per day.

Airport Shuttle

The Hotel offers complimentary shuttle bus service to and from the airport that stops at every terminal. Service is available from 5:30am to 00:15am daily.

COVID-19 Travel Guidance

Visas

Spain is a Member-State of the European Union and has signed the Schengen Agreement.

While travelling within the European Union, you only need your Identity card. However, a passport is necessary for a number of other transactions, such as currency exchange, purchases, etc.

Visas are not required by European citizens from countries that are part of the Schengen Area. Spain as a member of the Schengen Agreement, has abolished controls on common internal lands, at air and sea borders and allows Member-State citizens to travel around without a visa for a short stay period of up to three (3) months. However, please keep in mind that airlines and other carriers require a valid passport and/or identity card.

Citizens coming from countries that have not yet joined Schengen Area may require a visa to enter Spain. The E.U. visitors from these countries can acquire further information from the Embassies or Consulates in their countries, or from their travel agencies.

Before visiting Spain, please consult the detailed information on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ website and find out whether you require a Visa. During your stay in Spain, if you require a Visa, you are advised to have suitable insurance coverage for emergency medical or other needs.

If you require an official Nokia invitation letter to apply for a visa, please complete the steps below.

• Customers/partners: Please contact your Nokia representative to request your official Nokia letter of invitation. 
   
• Staff: Please complete the letter of invitation request template available for download on the event intranet site and submit it to hrconnection.europe@nokia.com along with a copy of your passport. If you also require an official hotel confirmation letter, please email nokia@conferencecontacts.co.uk with your request.

Madrid has a temperate Mediterranean climate. The average temperate in June is around 25˚C

The currency in Spain is the Euro(€).

Dress Code

The dress code for SReXperts 2022 is business casual.  

Electricity/Voltage

The electrical supply is 230 volts +/- 10%. The frequency of the supply is 50 hertz. Most electrical outlets in bathrooms have a built-in converter for 110 volts to be used only for shavers. The two-pin rectangular plug system is used. It is recommended to bring an international adaptor as the hotel is limited in converters.
