Workshop - Using Advanced NFM-T Features to Manage an 1830 PSS-based Optical Network

Join us to explore advanced features of NFM-T (Network Functions Manager – Transport). In this 3-hour hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to use the Nokia management system to efficiently and effectively manage a Nokia 1830 PSS-based optical network. In addition, attendees will perform labs to reinforce some of the topics covered:

• The NFM-T architecture based on containers and processes

• Advanced node configurations, such as SWDM, cluster and dangling architectures

• Advanced services creation based on OTSiG tunnels and ODUflex configurations

• Advanced ASON configurations based on OTSiG tunnels in L0 core networks, L1 and mixed plane, and overlay and MRN.

• Network maintenance and transformation

• NFM-T main agents and processes

Recommended prerequisites:

• Knowledge of optical transmission concepts and standard equipment

• Familiarity with standard optical node architectures, such as FOADM, ROADM

• Familiarity with NFM-T menus and basic concepts such as trail/services
