Getting started with optical automation workshop
Start your journey toward optical network automation with an overview of network automation applications and areas that can benefit from automation. We’ll begin with the Nokia optical network automation ecosystem, which consists of several critical building blocks for eight essential use cases. After that, you will learn how to make these use cases possible by adopting a set of standard enablers, such as interfaces, protocols, and models for representing and encoding the accessible data.
We’ll introduce the four most popular use cases: service provisioning, bandwidth on demand and calendaring.
Securing the future: understanding quantum-safe networks in telecom workshop
Prepare for the future of network security by joining our seminar on quantum-safe networks, where we’ll explore the transformative impact of quantum computing on telecommunications. Gain a solid understanding of quantum cryptography fundamentals, including key generation, entropy, and encryption, while learning how emerging quantum technologies pose new risks to traditional network security. The seminar will cover key strategies such as Public Key Cryptography (PKC), Pre-Shared Keys (PSK), Quantum-Key Distribution (QKD), and defense-in-depth, offering critical insights into safeguarding telecommunications networks. Additionally, participants will get an overview of the Nokia 1830 Security Management Server (SMS), a crucial enabler of quantum-safe networks, and how it integrates with encryption-capable transponders.
Designed for telecommunications professionals and anyone interested in securing their systems for the future, this seminar is accessible to all, with no advanced expertise required. Attendees will leave with knowledge of crypto-agility, layered protection, and building trust in a quantum-ready world.

Networking evening event
JUnlike many other palaces in the Austrian capital Palais Ferstel is not named after its owner, with that honour going instead to its architect. But not until it was completely renovated in 1982. Otherwise it would have ended up being known as the national bank or the stock exchange building, in recognition of the roles originally intended for this opulent structure built by Heinrich von Ferstel.
Be that as it may, Palais Ferstel continues to cast its magic on guests with its fantastic Venetian-cum-Florentine-cum-Trecento architecture, something you won’t find anywhere else in the capital. With stunning rooms, dazzling chandeliers and an impressive colonnaded courtyard. An Italian Palazzo – in the heart of Vienna’s historic first district, on Freyung.
With a sunlit, wet-weather-proofed courtyard this transformative space has been perfectly reinvented to host the Wavelengths 2025 evening event. Join us for an evening that promises to be full of camaraderie, laughter, and memorable moments.
