The evolution of business services with signetbreedband

The evolution of business services with signetbreedband

The most rewarding part of my job is working with customers who constantly strive to evolve their business by thinking beyond traditional boundaries and leveraging innovation to lead in the services they offer. When I started working with signetbreedband, a wholly owned subsidiary of team.blue, I knew this was one such  company.

Meeting the demands of modern business

With over 25 years of networking experience, signetbreedband is a leading network solutions provider in the Netherlands. They offer a variety of redundant business internet options as well as a range of managed networking solutions. Faced with the pressures of customers demanding much faster broadband access and the influx of new business applications like high-definition video streaming, video conferencing, augmented reality, and emerging AI-based applications, they recognized the need for a dramatic increase in scalability and performance.

Innovating for scalability and performance

signetbreedband took proactive steps and developed a progressive plan to provide higher speed and ubiquitous broadband access while re-designing to enhance scalability, performance, and resilience at its core. With their new design, they engaged a vast “partner” network to offer ubiquitous access to broadband through local “on-ramps”, enabling all businesses within their footprint to conveniently access their services. To scale this approach, they deployed a universal termination point for authenticating and authorizing network service users over any broadband access method. They also embraced automation to activate customers and services while providing control and transparency to customers.

Passion for technology

Several years ago, I was involved in securing a deal with team.blue. This win was primarily due to our responsiveness, attention to detail, and personal touch. Since then, team.blue has expanded across Europe, consistently exemplifying the spirit of delivering exceptional experiences to their customers while expecting the same passion from their technology partners. This culture is also evident within signetbreedband, and our success with them is partly due to the lessons we learned with team.blue.

Nokia partnered with signetbreedband throughout their network evolution, providing advanced routing capabilities across all aspects of their network. This includes the Nokia 7750 SR as its universal termination point, which is deployed in redundant pairs in geographically diverse Points of Deployment (PoDs). In many ways, this is the heart of their network, responsible for securely and efficiently allowing or denying customers access to the network and its services, regardless of the broadband method used. The trust that signetbreedband has placed in Nokia for this pivotal role in their network is a testament to the quality and reliability of our routers.

The Connectivity Core: a game changer

signetbreedband’s newly evolved network, known as the Connectivity Core, has changed the game for business services in the Netherlands. The evolution of the Connectivity Core has enabled signetbreedband to differentiate itself by offering the performance, reach and scale of a large telco combined with the flexibility and reliability of a smaller network operator.
