Deutsche Telekom and Nokia use remote-controlled drones on 5G, as Network as Code platform interfaces to CAMARA APIs
The groundbreaking demonstration showcased potential of many use cases using the public network with the reliability of bandwidth and performance, achieving two significant firsts, real-time fleet tracking and network optimization at drone altitude and the event marked the first-ever cross-country remote drone operation on a public programmable network.
"Nokia is integrating our APIs into their platform, offering them via different services like SDKs to developers. In this use case, what we're doing today at Landgrabenweg street is a drone which is flying using our APIs. The first one, verifying that the drone is really in this place here and the second one is quality on demand for the flight level. So even in a congested area, it's possible for a defined time to get more prioritization all over the network."
