The Nokia Data Center Fabric Professional is an entry-level certification focused on understanding modern data center networking essentials and Nokia SR Linux. It requires candidates to pass one exam.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the Data Center Fabric Professional, students will:
Develop modern data center networking architectures using layer 3 and BGP for routing.
Learn the Nokia SR Linux architecture, 7220/7250 IXR routers, the Fabric Services System, and Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP).
Configure and verify interfaces and routing protocols with SR Linux CLI along with other SR Linux logging, monitoring, and filtering tools.
Earn your digital badge
A digital, secure, and verified indicator of accomplishments that can be managed, displayed, shared, accessed, and verified online.
How to certify
To become a Nokia Data Center Fabric Professional, you must pass one written exam (multiple-choice) through Pearson VUE.
You can choose between our recommended instructor-led training, eLearning, or self-study materials to acquire the knowledge to pass the exam. Training is not required to attempt the exam.
- Instructor-led training offers you a mix of theoretical and hands-on experience guided by subject matter experts. You can attend a publicly scheduled open-enrolment course through live virtual delivery or schedule a private delivery.
- eLearning is an interactive and engaging online experience that lets you learn at your own pace.
- Self-study materials allow you to learn at your own pace by accessing the same course materials from our instructor-led training. You can also take advantage of optional My DCF Learning Labs to complete the same labs from the course, but it is not required to prepare for the exam.

Your status will change in the Student Portal to show that you are certified. In addition, you will be able to download and print your diploma, and you will receive an email from Credly to claim your digital certification badge.
Don't let your certification lapse. All certifications in the Nokia SRC Program are valid for three years. After three years, you must recertify to ensure your designation stays current. Complete the recertification requirements below during your eligibility window to renew your certification and retain your professional designation. You can view your certification status, dates, and exam results from the Student Portal.
Three key dates to remember
Please keep these important dates in mind and organize your recertification activities around them:
- Certification date: The day your certification was awarded.
- Certification expiry date: The day your certification was awarded three years ago. Note - If you pass a recertification requirement, your certifications' expiration and termination dates will reset to the date that you wrote the exam.
- Certification termination date: The day your certification terminates if you do not successfully complete the recertification requirements within 6 months after your expiry date.
