Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the Fixed Networks Professional, students will:
Learn the architecture and capabilities of the Nokia Fiber to the Home (FTTH), Fiber to the X (FTTX), and Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) solutions.
Use intent-based networking to learn the building blocks of customer services such as Voice, Data, and IPTV.
Use the Altiplano GUI and CLI to examine HSI and IPTV services provisioned on Lightspan devices.
Earn your digital badge
A digital, secure, and verified indicator of accomplishments that can be managed, displayed, shared, accessed, and verified online.
How to certify
To become a Nokia Fixed Networks Professional, you must pass one written exam (multiple-choice) through Pearson VUE.
You can choose between our recommended instructor-led training or self-study materials to acquire the knowledge to pass the exam. Training is not required to attempt the exam.
- Instructor-led training offers you a mix of theoretical and hands-on experience guided by subject matter experts. You can attend a publicly scheduled open-enrolment course through live virtual delivery or schedule a private delivery.
- Self-study materials allow you to learn at your own pace by accessing the same course materials from our instructor-led training. You can also take advantage of optional My FN Learning Labs to complete the same labs from the course, but it is not required to prepare for the exam.

Your status will change in the Student Portal to show that you are certified. In addition, you will be able to download and print your diploma, and you will receive an email from Credly to claim your digital certification badge.
Don't let your certification lapse. All certifications in the Nokia FNC Program are valid for three years. After three years, you must recertify to ensure your designation stays current. Complete the recertification requirements below during your eligibility window to renew your certification and retain your professional designation. You can view your certification status, dates, and exam results from the Student Portal.
Three key dates to remember
Please keep these important dates in mind and organize your recertification activities around them:
- Certification date: The day your certification was awarded.
- Certification expiry date: The day your certification was awarded three years ago. Note - If you pass a recertification requirement, your certifications' expiration and termination dates will reset to the date that you wrote the exam.
- Certification termination date: The day your certification terminates if you do not successfully complete the recertification requirements within 6 months after your expiry date.
