Overview
The Nokia Intelligent Services Access Manager (ISAM) Voice has been developed for the Nokia ISAM family - a future-safe, multiservice access platform for transforming operators' access networks. The ISAM Voice provides VoIP media gateway functionality to interconnect legacy POTS and ISDN PRI customer premises terminals to NGN backbones.
The ISAM Voice is ideal for incumbent local exchange carriers (ILECs) in ETSI regions to deal with the obsolescence issues of their current PSTN network by offering a competitive bundle of triple play services where voice is an emulation of the current PSTN TDM voice. Alternative service providers, especially those leasing the local loop from ILECs, can also benefit from the multiservice approach of the ISAM Voice.
