E-Band portfolio

The UBT-m family includes compact radio units operating in the E-Band. The compact E-Band UBT-m family (standard power UBT-m, urban variant UBT-mU, extended power UBT-mX and extra high power UBT-m XP) addresses all operator needs and through carrier aggregation delivers multi-gigabit, low latency microwave transport both in full-outdoor and split-mount configurations. 

Wavence UBT-m XP provides the market’s highest transmit power, the smallest size and power consumption to enable operators to extend their E-Band link designs. While The UBT-mU is the most compact member of the UBT-m family and more generally in the market, as it encompasses a flat antenna of 38dBi gain. 

UBT-m XP combined with Nokia SteadEband antenna, extends the reach of E-band. SteadEband stabilized antenna mitigates the common E-Band issues, which include tower vibrations and thermal movements such as the expansion or contraction of materials. Combined with the UBT-m XP, it can increase the typical E-Band link distance by up to 50 percent, helping mobile operators deliver multi-gigabit 5G connectivity to their customers or 5G mobile networks, delivering the highest capacity and ultra-low latency. 

Combining two UBT-m XP units with XPIC will allow operators to reduce spectrum fees, because of frequency re-usage and to go up to 20 Gbps with 2000 MHz channel spectrum. Additionally, XPIC 2+0 solution can be used to extend the link hop compared to a 1+0 solution, for a given capacity. 

Combined with Nokia UBT-S and UBT-T radios and a multiband antenna, using Layer-1 Carrier Aggregation, the UBT-m, UBT-mX or UBT-m XP enables to combine E-Band carrier with any additional microwave, achieving a compact, 3-carrier solution (single-carrier E-band + two-carriers microwave), either in split-mount (combined with MSS-8 or MSS-HE) or all-outdoor.
