NR eMBB Specialist prepares engineers for challenging operational, and configuration tasks, typically centred around 5G Mobile BroadBand features (mMIMO, Carrier Aggregation, 5G-4G interworking).

Nokia Certified 5G RAN Design Specialist Key Learning Outcomes

Intended for experienced 5G planning engineers, who need to know more about specifics in Small Cell planning and dimensioning. Engineers will be able to find out differences between Small Cells and Macro Cells in terms of solutions, link budget, propagation, capacity and parameter planning. The specialist certification will also prepare radio planning and optimization engineers in charge of the Voice-over-NR solution.

Nokia Certified 5G RAN Optimisation Specialist Key Learning Outcomes

Students completing this certification will have be able to Recall features and counters associated with beam change, Analyze Intra-Frequency Intra-gNB mobility (NSA option 3x) and related KPIs/counters, Analyze Inter-System mobility (SA option 2) and related KPIs and counters and Recall  KPIs and counters for HO duration analysis, Relate HO duration to user and control plane latencies. Students will be also able to List and describe the available bearer and QoS profile combinations, SIP Overview, Describe the Session Initiation Protocol SIP and master concepts of Vo-NR.

Exam requirements & recommended courses are shown in the tables below. Candidates are not required to take the recommended courses in order to achieve any of the certifications, however passing the mandatory exam(s) is required:
