Important updates to the Nokia Optical Network Services Expert Certification, Optical Network Architect Certification, and Design Expert Lab Exam

Effective October 1, 2021 – We will be making updates to the requirements for achieving the Optical Network Services Expert Certification and Optical Network Architect Certification.  We will also be updating the Optical Network Design Expert Lab Exam. In early February, we announced updates would be coming on July 1, 2021. The new October 1, 2021, extension provides you with more time to become certified under the current requirements.  

The certification updates will better reflect the optical networking functions within many organizations.

Nokia Certified Optical Network Services Expert

There is one important addition coming to Optical Network Services Expert certification requirements:

• A new mandatory exam and recommended course, the Nokia Optical Diagnostics and Troubleshooting exam (4A0-265), and Nokia Optical Diagnostics and Troubleshooting course (TOP0007) will be added to the certification requirements on October 1, 2021.  

  • The Optical Network Services Expert Lab Exam (ONSE-LE) will be updated on October 1, 2021, to reflect the addition of the Optical Diagnostics and Troubleshooting addition to the certification.

Candidates will need to pass three mandatory written exams, one elective written exam, and one lab exam to become certified under the new requirements.  Candidates will have until September 30, 2021, to become certified under the current requirements.

Nokia Certified Optical Network Design Expert Lab Exam

On October 1, 2021, we will be updating the Optical Network Design Expert Lab Exam (ONDE-LE) to the latest version based on recent updates to the curriculum.

• Candidates will have until September 30, 2021, to pass this lab exam based on the current requirements.
