Course overview

The content in this training is intended to develop a good understanding of the technologies and principles to configure, monitor, and troubleshooting multi-area scaling and path management in an SR OS -based IP/MPLS transport network, including: Admin Groups and SRLG; soft pre-emptive LSP; scaling multi-area IRP routing domains; CSPF_on_loose_hop; and, LDP over RSVP. This course is a combination of theoretical discussion and hands-on practical exercises using the NFM-P Rel 17 as the primary management interface, though CLI (Command Line Interface) will be used where necessary.

Course objectives

The learner will be able to:

  • Describe RSVP-TE path selection process
  • Explain and configure CSPF path selection attributes
  • Explain and configure soft preemptive LSP
  • Explain and configure need for multi-domain IP network

  • Explain and configure LDP over RSVP
  • Explain and configure CSPF loose hop
