The seventh-generation Infinite Capacity Engine (ICE7) delivers up to 1.2 Tb/s per wavelength. ICE7 leverages a 5-nm CMOS DSP and the latest generation of advanced high-speed optics to deliver baud rates of up to 140 GBaud. ICE7 also enables improved wavelength capacity-reach at lower data rates including 1 Tb/s, 800 Gb/s, 600 Gb/s and 400 Gb/s. Available as part of the 1830 GX Series, ICE7 reduces the cost per bit, power per bit and footprint of coherent optical transport.

Scale wavelength speeds to 1.2 Tb/s

Leveraging PCS-64QAM modulation and baud rates of up to 140 GBaud, ICE7 can operate at speeds of up to 1.2 Tb/s of data on a single wavelength. This enables significant savings in cost per bit and power in high-speed terrestrial and subsea  applications.

Deliver 800G nearly everywhere

Using the latest generation of digital and optical technology, Nokia’s ICE7 enables the delivery of 800G services over nearly any distance (3,000+ km). Nokia’s ICE7 solution enables network operators to standardize on 150 GHz WDM grid spacings to provide seamless integration with pluggable-based metro optical networks.

Carry close to 100 Tb/s on a single fiber pair

In addition to high spectral efficiency enabled by PCS-64QAM, ICE7 supports the Super C- and Super L-bands.  This increases the available WDM spectrum by 20%, from 9.6 THz to 11.6 THz, and enables close to 100 Tb/s on a single fiber pair.

Seamlessly upgrade existing networks

ICE7 is supported in existing 1830 GX platforms. enabling simple upgrade of existing networks. ICE7 is designed to easily integrate into any optical infrastructure, including seamless operation over third-party optical line systems.
