Biography
Alessandro Montanari is a Research Scientist in the Pervasive Systems Research team of APSS Lab. Alessandro holds a PhD in Computer Science at the University of Cambridge and a MSc cum laude in Computer Engineering from the University of Bologna. Prior to starting his PhD, Alessandro completed his Master Thesis at the ABB Corporate Research Center working on wireless sensor networks. Later he interned at Nokia Bell Labs focusing on privacy issues in the context of the Internet of Things and at ARM where he built IoT applications to showcase the potential of ARM’s technology. Before joining Bell Labs he worked as Research Assistant at the University of Cambridge on optimising drone surveying flight paths using on-board context sensing and computation.
