Bo Olofsson

Biography

Bo Olofsson is Program Lead for Networked Applications and Devices at Bell Labs. As such he leads Bell Labs research on future applications and devices that will interact and be the visible part of the Future X network. Content delivery systems, personal devices/wearables and IoT sensor devices are just a few of the applications that fall into Bo's domain. 

Formerly Bo was Director, Product Research Group at British Sky Broadcasting (BSkyB). At Sky his team was responsible for research and experimentation on emerging consumer technologies.  Bo was the Senior Vice President, Global Sales at Getty Images; the world’s leading creator and distributor of still imagery, footage and multimedia products. Earlier in his career, Bo held senior positions in Sales, Product Marketing and General Management at Apple, Dell and IBM.

Bo is based in Cambridge at the Bell Labs antenna site, co-located with Alcatel-Lucent’s video business. He lives in London with his wife and son.
