Biography

Claudio Rosa is head of the Device & Modem Radio Access Department at Nokia Standards in Aalborg, Denmark. The team consists of approximately ten specialists researching in the area of device standardization with focus on radio protocols, physical layer design and YE demodulation requirements. Claudio’s current research interests extend over several topics in radio resource management for wireless networks with focus on full and flexible duplexing, radio enablers for eXtended reality applications in mobile communication systems, and more recently, user plane protocol design for 6G networks. Prior to his role as Department Head in the Device & Modem group, he has worked as standardization research specialist in the Radio Interface & Access Radio Access Team at Nokia Standards in Aalborg, Denmark. Since he joined Nokia in 2005, Claudio has contributed to standardization of 4G and 5G systems working on a large spectrum of topics ranging from uplink power control, link adaptation and packet scheduling, carrier aggregation, dual connectivity, and unlicensed spectrum operation including Wi-Fi.
