Biography

Danny De Vleeschauwer received the Msc.  in electrical engineer and a Ph.D. in applied sciences form Ghent University, Belgium, in 1985 and 1993 respectively. Since 1998 he investigates at Bell Labs topics in signal processing, coding technology, queuing theory, congestion control and data mining and their application in the multimedia transport over packet-based networks. Danny is author or co-author of more than 100 scientific papers and of 18 patents. Danny regularly acts as member of TPC of international conferences  (e.g., International Teletraffic Congress, Future Network & Mobile Summit, Workshop on IPTV Technologies and Multidisciplinary Applications, International Conference on Evolving Internet). Danny is also guest professor in the Stochastic Modeling and Analysis of Communications Systems research group of the University of Gent.
