Biography
Dr. Faris B. Mismar is a senior principal consultant at Bell Labs Consulting and a distinguished member of technical staff at Nokia Bell Labs. Faris’s areas of expertise are in future generation wireless communications and in artificial intelligence and machine learning applications to improve network performance. Faris has more than 10 peer-reviewed IEEE conference and journal publications and holds three patents. In the last 20 years, Faris worked for Motorola, Ericsson, Samsung, and Nokia in different senior and leadership roles. Faris consulted with many telcos, providers, and government entities globally. Faris’s most recent engagements with clients have been in the areas of improving end-user experience, automation to reduce operational expenditure, and digital transformation of industries. Faris holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas, and is a Senior Member of the IEEE.
