Gerard Burnside

Biography

Gérard Burnside is a Member of Technical Staff at Nokia Bell Labs, in the Department of Mathematics & Algorithms. He is passionate about Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques, most of which now involving Deep Neural Networks.

After graduation in 1995, he worked for Thalès-IS in the Telecommunication division for 3 years then joined Alcatel in 1998 where he specialized in Network Management. He worked for Alcatel USA for a couple of years (Raleigh, NC and Plano, TX). From 2006 on, he joined the Research team in Bell Labs France and has since co-written half a dozen of Publications and about the same amount of patents.
