Jochen Maes

Biography

Jochen Maes joined Bell Labs in 2006 where he continuously shifts the limits of broadband. He heads the Fixed Networks Group within Nokia Bell Labs, focused on innovations in optical and copper access networks. He contributes to several standardization bodies. His work received Broadband Infovision Awards (2010, 2014) and the Bell Labs President’s Award (2011). He is Bell Labs Fellow since 2016. He holds a MSc in Physics and a PhD in Science.
