Michael Montag

Biography

Michael received his M.Sc. (Dipl.-Inform.) degree in computer science from University Hamburg, Germany in 1990. He then joined Siemens Corporate Research and worked in the area of Artificial Intelligence, Truth Maintenance Systems, Qualitative Reasoning, and model-based expert systems for fault diagnosis and configuration. In 1998 he started his career in the area of information and communication data and network security, first still at Siemens, since 2007 at Nokia Networks Research and currently at Nokia Bell Labs, where he is leading the security research group which is responsible for feeding the Nokia security innovation pipeline. His main expertise are end-to-end network and service security concepts as well as the evaluation of future security technologies.
