Michiel Verplaetse

Biography

Michiel Verplaetse was born in Ghent, Belgium, in 1993. He received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Ghent University, Ghent, in 2016 and 2020, respectively for work on high-speed analog equalization structures.   In 2021, he joined the Fixed Networks department at Nokia Bell Labs, Antwerp, working on high-speed optical access system and hardware design. He has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed journal, conference papers and patent applications.
